When you use Base Mode (our free, client-side video processing tool):

  • No video data is uploaded: All video processing happens entirely in your browser. Your dashcam videos never leave your device.
  • No telemetry data is collected: All extracted telemetry data remains on your device.
  • Basic analytics: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., page views, feature usage) through standard web analytics to improve the service.
  • Technical data: Your browser may send standard technical information (IP address, browser type, device type) when accessing our website.

2.2 Pro Subscription

When you subscribe to Pro, we collect additional data:

  • Account information: Email address, name, and password (encrypted).
  • Payment information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store complete credit card information on our servers.
  • Video data: When you upload dashcam videos to cloud storage, we store these videos and their associated telemetry data on our secure servers.
  • GPS and location data: Extracted from your dashcam videos to provide mapping and analytics features.
  • Usage data: Information about how you use Pro features, including analytics queries and shared links.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for:

  • Providing and maintaining our service
  • Processing your dashcam videos and generating analytics
  • Managing your Pro subscription and billing

4.1 Stripe (Payment Processing)

We use Stripe to process Pro subscription payments. Stripe collects and processes payment information according to their privacy policy. We do not store complete credit card details on our servers.

4.2 Mapillary (Traffic Sign Detection)

Pro users can access traffic sign detection through integration with Mapillary's API. When you use this feature, GPS coordinates from your videos are sent to Mapillary to retrieve traffic sign information.

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmissions are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS

6. Data Retention

  • Base Mode: No data is retained on our servers as all processing is client-side.
  • Pro subscription: Account and uploaded video data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • After account deletion: We delete all your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information.
  • Backup retention: Backups may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes.
